The Theatre Royal’s mission statement is to be world class organisation and of course the world starts to spread right from our doorstep here on Westgate Street!

Our Creative Learning programme is a place for our local community to discover new things - new skills, new friends, new ideas and aspirations.

Whether you’re young, and in love with theatre making, or looking for new ways to excite and engage the students in your class; if you’re applying for a college placement or if you’re searching for an outlet for your creativity after a hard day at work – we have something for you.

Join a Theatre Group
If you’re inspired by what you see on the Theatre’s stage, why don’t you come and have a go yourself? You can join one of our many theatre and arts groups catering for all ages and abilities. And who knows… you too could soon find yourself performing on the Theatre Royal stage!
