Private individuals made a huge difference to our Restoration Appeal (2007). Local supporters helped to restore the Theatre Royal by giving time, money and by joining the Royal Million, an exclusive donors’ club.
Individuals will always make a huge difference to what the Theatre can achieve and to its continued wellbeing.
For those of you with a passion for theatre, history, social occasions and great fun we have established a new Theatre Royal Patrons’ Scheme.
This is a marvellous way to enjoy a special relationship whilst supporting an element of our work which is of most interest to you (the Education Fund, the Community Fund, the Heritage Fund or the Artistic Excellence Fund which underpins our creative output).
In return for your annual subscription you can enjoy a much closer relationship with the theatre. We offer Theatre Royal Patrons an exciting range of tailored events throughout the year, with opportunities to meet actors and artistic teams and join a group of donors who are passionate about their theatre.
Depending on which level of support you choose, we offer some or all of the following:
- priority booking
- regular mailings
- opportunities to attend open rehearsals
- annual Patrons’ party with the actors and company
- bespoke tours of the Theatre
- invitations to special events programmes
- invitations to a programme of annual events
- acknowledgement in programmes for in-house productions
- acknowledgment on donor board inside the Theatre
- evenings with the Artistic Director
