Jack and the Beanstalk
by Daniel O’Brien
directed by Abigail Anderson
designed by Will Hargreaves
composer/lyricist Annemarie Lewis Thomas

Fee-fi-fo-fum! I smell two hours of panto fun! Join us for a tremendous tale set in the times of King Arthur, an age where dashing knights pursued terrifying giants, poverty stricken peasants ate naught but beans, and practically everyone was wearing floppy mop caps.

Our hero Jack and his poor old mother Dame Trisha Trott have three humongous problems; the medieval credit crunch has munched their last penny, a whopping great beanstalk has caused no end of gardening distress, and to top it off, the hideous giant Gogmagog has snatched Jack’s true love Perdita (not to mention Daisy their cow!).  Can Jack muster the courage to climb the beanstalk? Will Brigadier Bombast ever proclaim his love for the batty Dame Trott? Can the enchanting Fairy Liquid redeem the Giant’s henchman Fleshcreep? And will Jill ever get round to milking Daisy the Cow?  Be ready to find out all this and more in this exciting adventure through pantoland.

Musical, colourful and packed full of jokes and laughter, be prepared for a truly giant sized portion of classic pantomime at its best.
