A Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds Production

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

By William Shakespeare

directed by Abigail Anderson, set designed by Libby Watson, costume designed by Mia Flodquist lighting designed by Mark Howland, composed by Pat Whymark, choreographed by Yael Lowenstein

'Thou and I are too wise to woo peaceably'

Shakespeare's most passionate and hot-blooded comedy comes to fire up the Theatre Royal as Benedick and Beatrice slug it out in a full blown battle of the sexes. Packed with music, dancing and laughter, Much Ado About Nothing proves you can find love in the most unexpected places.

When the boisterous boys in Don Pedro's retinue stop by Leonato's sleepy house in Sicily, the stage is set for romantic intrigues, flirtation and heartbreak. For Hero and Claudio it seems to be love at first sight, but not everyone is wishing them well...

Directed by Abigail Anderson, who was responsible for hit productions of Twelfth night and The Merchant of Venice at the Theatre Royal, this promises to be another hugely enjoyable and talked about show.

'Magical... wings every ounce of comedy and tragedy from the Bard's text' EADT on The Merchant of Venice 2010.

'Productions like this make you want to come back to the Theatre again and again' Audience Member on Twelfth Night 2009.
