A Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds Production

Dick Whittington and his Cat

'Rats Rule, Cats Drool'

A fantastic, feline, fun-fuelled and fatabulous frolic for all the family.

Many centuries ago with the face of England scoured by the Black Death, young Dick Whittington arrives in London to make his fame and fortune. At first all goes well. He makes friends with a cat called Tommy, gets a job with a merchant and falls in love with a girl. But there are wicked forces at play. The evil Queen Rat and her army of ratlings still roam the city streets trying to infect everyone with the plague so that rats can TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

And so begins the epic struggle between boy, cat and rat in which the very existence of humanity is at stake. This is an adventure story like no other filled with injustice, love at first sight, shipwrecks, singing jellyfish and a trip to Morocco.

Will Dick ever win the heart of his true love?
Will Queen Rat change the course of history forever?
Will Tommy become the best ratcatcher ever?
And will it all end happily...or not?
